Prunes are perfect as a mid- morning snack or as a healthy and balanced afternoon snack thanks to their energizing, tonic and purifying properties.

Prunes are very nutritious, are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and fiber. Most important health benefits of dried plums or prunes include their heart health benefits, digestive health benefits, preventing and/or decreasing inflammation.

In 2001, America plum growers’ request was accepted by the FDA to call prunes “dried plums”. The main reason for this name change was to turn around the misconception that prunes are just a medicinal food rather than a healthy, nutritious fruit.
